What is the difference between TG Ab and TPO antibodies?
They target different thyroid proteins. TPO is positive more often in Hashimoto's, but some people are positive only for TG Ab, which is why both get tested.
Can antibodies be positive with normal thyroid function?
Yes, and it is worth knowing. It can mean autoimmune activity is present before function changes, which is a reason to monitor rather than panic.
What should I test with it?
