Tuberculosis (TB) Test - QuantiFERON
A modern blood test for tuberculosis exposure: no return visit to read a skin bump. One draw, results usually in 2β3 business days.
QuantiFERON-TB is a blood test that detects your immune response to the bacteria that cause tuberculosis. Unlike the traditional skin test, it needs just one visit with no return trip to read a reaction, and it isn't affected by prior BCG vaccination.

When to Get Tested
Any time; no fasting or special preparation is needed. A single blood draw is all that's required: no follow-up visit to read a result.
Understanding Your Results
Results post to your secure online account usually in 2β3 business days as positive, negative, or indeterminate. A positive result means you've been exposed to TB but doesn't distinguish latent from active infection. It should be followed up with a clinician, who may order a chest X-ray or additional evaluation.
