Even for the Grandparent DNA Test, our at-home collection kits are easy to use and help you conclusively prove an existing biological relationship between a person and a supposed grandparent. The people involved in the test collect genetic specimens and send it to us and after as few as 5-10 days, the outcome is accessible.
Two Varieties of Grandparent Testing
Single Grandparent
These tests require one grandparent, one grandchild, and parent (highly recommended, but optional). Resulting probabilities from our tests range 90% or more for positive or 75% or greater for negative probabilities.
Duo Grandparent
This test requires BOTH grandparents, one child, and a parent (highly recommended, but optional). To have the best possible results in a grand-parentage test, it is highly recommended to have samples from both supposed grandparents and child. If both supposed grandparents give DNA specimens for the test, results can be greater than 99.99% positive and 100% negative for proof of a grand-parentage relationship.
